Grand Cayman

WARNING: if you are prone to being jealous of people who brag about their wonderful tropical vacation - do not proceed to read this post. This has got to be one of my FAVORITE vacations. First of all I have to mention that I was DREADING going - the guilt and worry I had before we left vanished with the Caribbean Breeze. Sorry for the boring details, but this has become my journal keeping and I want to remember it:-

MY Favorite things we did:
eat out -wonderful restaurants
bike ride in the morning
walk along the beach- collecting rocks
sit and talk
snorkeling right outside of the restaurant and right outside the beach house
stingray city
reading

Saturday-got in late-got groceries- went to house
Sunday- rainy, went to church, ate at Brick House- (for Mike's birthday)
Monday- went scuba diving -saw an eel- ate at Over the Edge- DELICIOUS.
Tuesday- biked to Rum Point -saw one starfish-ate at Portofino that night
Wednesday-went downtown ate lunch at the Cracked Conch- , snorkeled right at the restaurant- went to the turtle farm - saw an Octopus. Came back to town and ate at the Thai Food Restaurant.
Thursday-Some went diving in the morning-went to Georgetown shopped a little and ate -walked around seven mile beach.
Friday-layed around and read while Mike and Rob went scuba diving- went to Stingray city- went to a luau at the Marriott.
Saturday-flew home was detained at the immigration office- for unkown reason (I think that it is Mike's name) - SCARY!

View from the beach house.
Men playing football on the beach.
Beach House we stayed at.
Iguana -running loose at the turtle farm.

Seven-mile Beach....I'm only posting cuz I like how everyone ELSE looks.
from left to right- Larsens- our friends from Wichita that now live in Cheyenne and then our neighbors the Blockers, Burtons, and us.

Luau at the Marriott

Marriott- I found a guy that looked like a tourist and took a picture with him.

An interesting way to move a chair from one location to another.HUGE thank you to Amy and Ryan and Mike's Parents and Jodi for helping with the kids!!!! I'll return the favor someday!

So funny about being detained at immigration - it is a huge problem for my brother and happens EVERY time. Funny how they both have the same name - you would think with only a million Michael Smith's around it shouldn't have to be a problem.
